Learning Cycles and 5E Lesson planning
The inquiry approach to teaching and learning science follows the scientific process and tends to foster critical thinking and aids students understanding of the nature of science. It has the added benefit of being brain friendly, and helping students make their own sense and understanding of concepts that leads to long term memory. Making connectsions to prior knowledge and following a date before concepts structure, it fits the way we naturally learn new information.
